WHAT ARE CSPs?
CSPs are anyone compiling sound and/or video recordings, for the purpose of supplying to customers for public performance. These compilations include such things as in-store sound systems, jukeboxes or hard-drives for venues, restaurants and cafes.

This activity requires a licence from PPNZ. The CSP licence is non-exclusive, and supply to customers does not include sale or assignment of the compiled programmes in any way. CSPs must adhere to strict criteria in order to be licensed by PPNZ.

NB: Any premises playing music in public supplied to them by a CSP is also required to pay a Public Performance Licence. Public Performance Licences are not normally included in the fees CSPs charge to their customers.
