New Appointment-Mark McCall,Director of Anti Piracy, RIANZ

Mark McCall joins the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ) as Director of Anti-piracy.


McCall recently emigrated from the UK where he was a Detective Superintendent with the Metropolitan Police Service at New Scotland Yard, London, England. He has held various postings over the last 17 years including in the Area Drug Squad and the London Crime Squad.


McCall’s initial focus will be to develop an anti-piracy education programme as well as continuing to enforce the rights of record producers and recording artists against copyright infringers.


RIANZ will be working closely with (NZFAŠT) NZ Federation Against Copyright Theft which represents film producers. NZFAŠT is affiliated with the Motion Picture Association (MPA).
