Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards Musicians feature prominently in technical Tuis

The winners of the technical categories in the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards 2007 have been announced.
There are three Technical Awards: Best Album Cover, Best Engineer and Best Producer.
The winners are: Best Album Cover:

The winners were announced today at the Finalists’ Announcement and Technical Awards presentation at the Langham Hotel in Auckland. The winners’ will also be recognised at the main awards at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre, The Edge® in Auckland on October 18.
Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards spokesman Campbell Smith says he’s pleased to see that technical nominees are also musicians up for a string of awards, including the Nokia Album of the Year.
“Our artists have always been strongly involved behind the scenes in the New Zealand industry, and this year is no exception.
“The production, art, and technical touches are so important when making a great overall package and it’s important to recognise this side of the craft.”
The finalists for the main awards – now in the 42nd year – were also revealed today (detailed in a separate release).
The Tuis presented at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards 2007 ceremony are for: Nokia Album of the Year, Vodafone Single of the Year, Steinlager Pure Best Group, Best Male Solo Artist, Mazda Best Female Solo Artist, KIWI FM Breakthrough Artist of the Year, The Warehouse Highest Selling NZ Album, Highest Selling NZ Single, C4 Best Music Video, PPNZ Best Rock Album, Best Urban/Hip Hop Album, Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Aotearoa Roots Album, Best Maori Album, Best Gospel/Christian Album, Best Classical Album, Vodafone People’s Choice, NZ on Air Radio Airplay Record of the Year
No finalists are announced for the Highest Selling NZ Single, The Warehouse Highest Selling NZ Album, NZ on Air Radio Airplay Record of the Year and International Achievement awards.
